As the top governing body for the sport, Table Tennis England hold events across the country for every age-range and all skill levels. The most prestigious of these is the annual National Championships.
Held in March 2023, skilled athletes gathered to compete for glory at the University of Nottingham’s David Ross Sports Village. With three days of fierce competition the National Championship exemplifies Table Tennis England’s values of uplifting players to perform at their best.
It is vital for Table Tennis England to have a venue which matches the importance of the event – and the 2023 championships were no exception. Following our successful partnership last year, John E Wright & Co once again provided interior print for Table Tennis England.
Our in-depth knowledge of sports venue branding allows us to design and manufacture high-quality and appropriate print solutions, including branding for bespoke sector-specific items such as podiums and bleachers.
For our work with Table Tennis England, we provided comprehensive support – including installation and de-rig, working around the strict schedule of the competition!
Meeting a Variety of Needs
For our work with Table Tennis England, we produced several types of sports venue branding to meet a variety of needs. It is important to accommodate not just competitors, but an eager audience too.
With bleachers lining the walls, for this event we produced signs to brand both the top and bottom. This would create a striking effect, with Table Tennis England’s vivid red branding clear across the entire venue – from high to low, it was impossible to miss!
We also produced several bespoke, specialist items. These included branding for the podium stands used throughout the event, covering not only podium steps but also accessibility ramps, ensuring every athlete – no matter who they were – could enjoy their moment of glory.
Furthermore, we produced graphics for the player entrance archway, setting the scene for the athletes competing in the National Championship. Finally, we produced desk surrounds which provided a clever way to brand otherwise plain tables in an attractive and distinctive manner.
By ensuring Table Tennis England’s sports venue branding carried through all of these items, John E Wright & Co were able to help create a cohesive and professional experience fitting for the event. All of these items were produced on Correx, a lightweight yet robust material that is also recyclable – making it not only easy to install and remove, but eco-conscious as well!
This ethos carried through to the several vinyl graphics we produced for Table Tennis England. We created graphics for both doors and windows of the venue, harmonizing the exterior with the interior branding. These graphics were produced on Easy Dot vinyl, which allows for a distinctive, high impact visual that’s also easy to remove due to its low tack adhesive. This makes it perfect for use as temporary venue branding during sports events.
John E Wright & Co brings extensive experience with sports venue branding. We have worked not only with Table Tennis England, but with other high-profile televised events such as the Billie Jean King Cup and Nottingham Open tennis tournaments. We bring sector specific knowledge that can only come with experience.
For example, for televised events we will utilise a particular TV grey for any backdrops in order to ensure it appears cleanly when filmed. We take pride in our ability to deliver appropriate, distinctive branding for sports events. We know the importance of a professional and confident service, working to deadlines and around athletes working at the top of their game.
By supporting organisations with the manufacture and installation of their tournament branding, John E Wright & Co aim to make things as simple as possible for our clients.
What our Customer thought
But don’t just take our word for it! Here is what Table Tennis England had to say about working with John E Wright & Co: “All went very well at the event – your crew were quick and effective, and the branding all looked great. The desk surrounds were actually commented on by a handful of other event organisers, and they worked very well.”
