The Electric Bike Shop is one of the leading retailers of electric-powered bikes in the UK. Opening doors in 2017, The Electric Bike Shop has since expanded to ten stores across the country. To this day they continue to provide specialist and professional services, supplying consumers with the latest in ebike technology.
John E Wright & Co provided end-to-end design and installation services for The Electric Bike Shop, constructing nine shop interiors over two years. Our job was to take an empty space and design the layout, design, graphics and signage. These would then be manufactured and installed in each store – and each had to be completed within four weeks.
Consistency and Efficiency
We had two keywords for this brief: consistency and efficiency. Our client held an ambitious plan which required rapid expansion in a short period, maximising the reach of his business while the ebike market boomed.
John E Wright & Co’s role was initially to develop an effective shop design from an empty shop unit. We created 3D renders beforehand, to ensure we had a comprehensive idea of what exactly would be needed to be manufactured to fit the space. This would then be installed by our team, allowing us oversight throughout the entire process from beginning to end.
By ensuring end-to-end involvement, we are able to produce work at a high standard. After completion of the first store, The Electric Bike Shop invited us to work on their future planned stores as well.
We utilised the processes learnt from our first job, and used them to create a clear design language that would allow us to work efficiently while also meeting the customer’s needs. By establishing this streamlined process, we were able to open stores at an incredible turnaround time. Over the course of two years, John E Wright & Co were involved in the opening of nine separate stores for The Electric Bike Shop.
