John E Wright help hospital for third year running

This is the third year that John E Wright has been asked to help Nottingham City Hospitals Charity (NCHC) to raise much needed funds for the Children’s Cancer Ward at the Nottingham City Hospital. Once again, team members Sean and Phil stepped forward with their two vans to volunteer for a week of Christmas Tree collections.

Each tree attracts a donation from householders of £10 online at the NCHC website and they are taken to the recycling Centre in Bramcote to be “chipped”, left to rest for a year before being used for mulching on farms and elsewhere.

A worthy cause and environmentally friendly too

Louise Knight, Head of Fund Raising at the Nottingham City Hospital said “the lads have been brilliant in all weathers and have worked really hard for us.  We have raised just over £17,000, a new record, and we could not have done it without their help”

Tony Barnett, MD at John E Wright Ltd added “Just pleased to help such a worthy cause and its environmentally friendly too…maybe £20,000 next year?”
