Leonard da Vinci

Nottingham Castle is currently displaying ten of the finest drawings by Leonardo da Vinci from the Royal Collection in a new exhibition.  The works have been selected to show the extraordinary scope of the artist’s interests, from painting and sculpture to engineering, zoology, botany, mapmaking and anatomy, as well as his use of different media – pen and ink, red and black chalks, watercolour and metal point. Through drawing, Leonardo attempted to record and understand the world around him. This is a highly prestigious exhibition for Nottingham and will hopefully encourage many visitors to the Castle and the City during its run.

Da Vinci Graphic Print

Having worked with the Castle Museum team on various previous exhibitions including the expansive Trent2Trenches show in 2014, we were very pleased to be asked to contribute graphic interpretations to this highly important exhibition.

Installed over two days, the graphics provide a detailed overview and timeline of Da Vinci’s history, giving the many visitors an introduction to his life and works. The display uses text & imagery to great effect, illustrating many of his more well know works. You can also take a Mona Lisa ‘selfie’ using the CAD cut Foamex prints we produced for the show.

The graphic prints shown here are produced on our VUTEk GS3250lx printer and installed by our own team of trained staff. We welcome the opportunity to discuss projects of this type, big or small with organisations planning public arts, heritage & cultural events at locations across the UK.
